Certified Soy-Free Organic Poultry Feed

After a couple of years of trial and error and a lot of research, we now offer soy-free organic layer pellets and chick starter/grower crumble mixes. Poultry diets require a balanced level of amino acids to achieve a standard level of production. Most plant-sourced proteins fail to provide those specific amino acids. Organic sesame seed meal is the best selection of plant protein to accomplish these goals.

Many customers have asked to purchase a soy-free alternative to our soybean meal-based feeds for reasons of personal health and nutritional philosophy. Research lead by the Weston A. Price Foundation http://www.westonaprice.org/soy-alert has featured articles on the subjects of human diets, non-toxic agriculture and holistic therapies. As these efforts of education, research and activism gain momentum, it has become economically practical for Modesto Milling to manufacture these specialty formulations. *Organic Soy Free Layer Pellets #6020

Use: Layer pellets are formulated to be a complete feed, but are also useful as part of a pasture-based diet. Layer pellets can be fed starting at 15-18 weeks of age.

Ingredients: Organic corn, organic sesame meal, organic peas, limestone, organic sun-dried alfalfa, moncalcium phosphate, Redmond Conditioner (clay), diatomaceous earth, organic kelp meal, Redmond Sea Salt, DL methionine, poultry vitamin & mineral premix, organic garlic, organic horseradish, organic anise oil, organic juniper berry.

Guaranteed Analysis: Crude protein min 17%, crude fat min 3.9%, crude fiber max 4.5%, ash max 16.1%

*Organic Soy Free Chick Starter & Poultry Grower Crumbles #6021

Use: Chick starter and grower crumbles have a minimum of 22% protein and are used to start out baby chicks. You can use this mix for the whole grow out period.

Ingredients: Organic corn, organic sesame meal, organic peas, organic sun-dried alfalfa, limestone, Redmond Conditioner (clay), diatomaceous earth, kelp meal, Redmond Sea Salt, monocalcium phosphate, DL methionine, poultry vitamin & mineral premix, dried aspergillus niger fermentation product, organic garlic, organic horseradish, organic anise oil, organic juniper berry. 

Guaranteed Analysis: Crude protein min 22%, crude fat min 5%, crude fiber max 5.1%, ash max 8.9%

*Organic Soy Free Finisher Pellets #6022

Use: During the final period of feeding meat birds or for raising up pullets into layers, beyond 4 to 5 weeks of age, you can switch to these finisher pellets, which are formulated with more corn, to satisfy the energy needs of the broiler. This is also a great grow out feed for turkeys.
